Gin Bottle Lamp WorkshopThe last event was so popular we've organised another one for you!
Jelly Jam Vintage and Handmade is coming to Yeovil to teach us the art of making our own bottle lamp and matching lampshade. Everything is provided unless you have a favourite bottle that you would like to turn into a lamp.
A couple of glasses of wine or gin and tonic and some nibbles are included!
The lampshade you'll make is either 20 or 15cm in diameter and you will be supplied with the fittings to convert a bottle into a lamp base. A set of led lights that fit inside the bottle are also included. Ellie will bring a selection of gin bottles you are welcome to choose from or if you've got a favourite bottle you'd like to bring along that's great, it doesn’t have to be gin!
Ellie has a range of lovely fabrics available to choose from or you if you want to bring your own piece to match your decor that’s fine. For the small 15cm shade it would need to be 50cm wide by 20cm long or for the 20cm shade 70cm wide by 25cm long. A cotton fabric works well but nothing too thick. You can find materials at The Hub Yeovil or you can scour the charity shops or Livingstone Textiles.
The session will last approximately 2 1/2 hours and should you wish to go home and make more lampshades (highly likely as it's quite addictive and they make great gifts) you can purchase the supplies from Ellie on the day.
The cost is £40 per person. Your place will be secured with either a £10 minimum deposit or by purchasing a full price ticket in store Take no Wrap. Yeovil’s Eco Store.
